Ospreys have been learning about ‘team GB’. Rachel, Myles, Cody & Brook came to tell me all about it.
“We have been learning about which pieces of Great Britain are in the Union flag.” Rachel
“The different colours represent the places in Britain.” Cody “Wales is not in part of the flag, because when they decided upon the flag Wales was part of England.”
“We cut out different shapes & then we stuck them together as the Union flag.” Rachel
“It was really really hard , even Miss Turner couldn’t do it!!” Brook

Sparrowhawks have been learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly.
They have a caterpillar nursery, they have been creating PowerPoints about the life cycles and examining each stage of their growth carefully.

Ospreys have been very busy today looking at symmetry & creating their own symmetrical patterns. They used playdough, their bodies & lego to make their patterns. Have a look for the lines of symmetry.

I am pleased to inform you that Gastrells Primary School is being inspected by Ofsted on Monday 30th April and Tuesday 1st June.
We hope this is an opportunity where we will be able to share our positive ethos & experiences.
Peregrine were making up rhythm patterns using long sounds & short sounds for their partners to play.

The Peregrines are imagining what it would be like to be a blind athlete by practising passing a jingly ball in PE. It was really tricky!

All the children were lucky enough to have an assembly by James Brown, paralympian today. James came in to speak about his sport, his eyesight and the Paralympics.
