Letters from Germany

Goshawks have been  reading letters from Germany today from class 4 in Graf  Ludolf Schule.

See what different children have found out from their letters:

Ellie: They don’t wear school uniform.

Callum: They get taught English

Marly: They have some different lessons to us.

Jade: They have 23 children in their class.

Bee Bot Mats

Ospreys have been creating their own Bee Bot mats based on Grace Darling.

They have had to programme their Bee Bots to direct them around the mats.

They certainly needed to know their left & right!

Learning detectives

Gastrells Learning Detectives have been to Rednock School today, to work with Rodborough students, and some year 7’s on skills for learning.

All the students worked collaberatively to think about the following skills areas:

Intrapersonal skills

Have a look at the link to see the key areas they focussed on.

More vanishing points…

Here are a few more fantastic vanishing point pictures from Eagles.

Sporting fixtures

Well done to all our sporting teams who have represented Gastrells recently.

The netball teams have been involved in a Stroud area tournament over the last two weeks.  They all played really well achieving a mixture of wins, draws and losses.  For some of the team it was the first time they had played in a competitive match.

The girls football team also played today, winning both their matches. 3-1 and 3 – 0.

 Well done everyone.

Goshawks have been creating textile Egyptian landscapes, through batik and collage.
