Slimbridge
Yesterday all of our year 3’s, 4’s & 5’s went to Slimbridge and had a fantastic day. They did
A sporty day.
Well done to the rounders team: Josh, Josh, Laurence, Jack, Campbell, Jai, Ellie, Ellie, Penny & Charlotte, who played against Nailsworth School this afternoon. They won convincingly 14 – 2 1/2 , and all played really well. They fielded and batted well, and took their chances!
It was also the small schools field district athletics jumping and throwing events this afternoon. We sent competitors from year 3, 4, 5 & 6.
Hedgehogs
Goshawks have been busy sewing their own hedgehogs – they look great?
Can you rise to the challenge?
Sparrowhawks and Ospreys have been ice skating this week as part of their Olympic work. Many children had not been ice skating before, but soon felt confident enough to let go of the side!!
Look Again

Ruth Davey worked with the year 5’s last week to ‘Look Again’ at their surroundings – they produced some fantastic photography which is on display in school, and Ruth took some photographs of the children. Have a look. What were they looing at?

What a busy day.
We have been lucky enough to have had a visit from Doug Allan the wildlife photographer this morning (www.dougallan.com), and from Daphne Edwards with the Olympic Torch this afternoon.
Year 6 Residential
Year 6 spent last week away on residential in Shropshire & had a fantastic timeand luckily they even managed to miss all the rainy weather.
Thank you to all of them for being a delightful bunch to take along, and a big thank you to the staff, Mr Muskett, Mrs Radway, Mr Godwin & Mrs Foulds, who went along with them.

Chippenham Folk Festival
On the last day before half term, Goshawks went to Chippenham Folk Festival and had a fantastic day.
White Ermine Moths
All the year 4’s in Goshawks have been busy learning about the White Ermine Moths, and will be fostering them over the weekend.
