We have been lucky to host a fantastic cartoon workshop today, with Andy Thompson. Andy is a cartoonist, manga artist, illustrator and animator. His animation work includes many Disney films, Harry Potter, Narnia, Where the Wild Things are and Sweeney Todd. He has also produced illustrations and animations for many video games including need for speed. Andy’s cartoon workshops include the creation of a comic, designing the superheroes, adding expression, colouring techniques to make the most of your work and writing the story to back up the pictures.
Have a look at some of the work the children have already created:
Owls have only been in school three weeks and already they have been very busy. Have a look at all the things they have been doing…
We have begun a multi skills club first thing on Wednesday morning. They have already begun developing their dexterity, quick feet and ball skills.
There are a few spaces left.
We had great fun in our first art and craft club of the year! The children all learnt how to make ‘quick-n-easy’ bunting by folding paper flags over a length of yarn.
I think they look really super, and all so different!
Owls, peregrines and ospreys have had Cameo Kids drama in with them this morning for a workshop session.
Have a look at Ospreys saving the world from aliens!!
Our new reception children, the Owls class, are all settling very well & Eagles have been cooking in their Spanish lessons.
The children in Ospreys are enjoying their new topic ‘The Great Fire of London’. Today they learnt about how the fire began all those years ago (the bakery on pudding Lane) and couldn’t resist having a little baking session themselves. Here are the children mixing, getting messy, kneading and waiting patiently.
