Thank you to Ms Boyson for working hard to improve the look of the way in to school, and it is lovely to see the poppies blooming now.
A group of children have had a super experience today at a tennis tournament at Chalford Tennis club. Euan, Josh and Freya worked on their skills with year 2’s. There were also 10 year 3 / 4 school teams, each playing girls and boys singles and mixed doubles. Myles played boys singles, Leona girls singles and Max and Juliette played mixed doubles – they just missed out on a medal position only being beaten by teams from Chalford Hill.
Well done to Ruby, Ria, Imogen, Millie, Josh and Euan who performed at this years Gloucestershire School Games Celebration Ceremony held at the Gloucester cathedral. They were also lucky enough to watch a performance by a group of elite gymnastics who will be competing in Word Championships later this year, as well as many other performances such as fencing, archery, trampoline and dance groups.
Owls had a brilliant day morning at the Leisure Centre on Friday 16th May. They were all able to go on the Trampolines, do some Gymnastics, have a go at Street Dancing and try out some Hand Ball Skills. The coaches at the Leisure Centre commented on the good behaviour of the children, their ability and willingness to have a go! We had a picnic in Stratford Park and fed the ducks before going to the playground and finding a fallen tree to play on. The weather was beautiful and the children had a GREAT day! Apparently ‘the bestest ever!’
