We were very proud of our writing today, we were using adjectives to describe a beautiful garden. We tried to imagine that we were describing the image to somebody with a blindfold on and made sure we didn’t leave out any important information. Afterwards, we highlighted each of the adjectives in green. Some of us were taken to show Mrs Merriman our work and she was very impressed, can you tell that we were happy with our big gold shiny stickers?
We were really excited to go back on the Forest School site today. It has been very slippery after the bad weather so we have been going for walks instead. It was good to be able to climb, build dens, hammer in stakes and do some swinging today. We had lots of fun even though it was cold and frosty. We put fleeces on and Jasper said he was wearing 6 layers!
Well done to our Y3/4 football team who played their first game together today. I was impressed with how they kept battling away until the final whistle however in the end the result read Callowell 6 Gastrells 1. It was great to see many children representing the school for the first time with great determination and enthusiasm, well done to everyone involved.
What a superb day! Starting with an early start, leaving school at 8am, we arrived at the Natural History museum at 10.30am where we spent 3 and half hours enjoying and engaging withthe museum displays. At 1pm we left theNHMfor a quick tour around London taking in the sights of Buckingham Palace, Westminster,Big Ben and the London Eye (I was particularly impressed with our tour guide!)Following this we headed to Drury Lane and theTheatre Royal where we found our seats towatch the sensational Charlie and Chocolate Factory. After a mesmerising performance we headed back to the coach and made our way back to Gloucestershire entertained all the way by radio Edie. I hope you all had an excellent day, thank you for making it such a brilliant trip!
Here are some of our highlights…
‘When Charlie got the golden ticket’ – James

Great work Peregrines!
Yesterday we performed our paired routines to the Owls, we were a little nervous but loved being able to show all of our hard work and the Owls were really impressed. After our performance, we had the opportunity to watch the Ospreys perform their routines and they were fantastic. We hope we will be just as good as them when we become Ospreys in September!
