As part of science fortnight Mr Muskett set the class two challenges…
Challenge one – To create a parachute which would safely carry an egg from the balcony window to the ground below
Challenge two – To create a boat which could carry the most amount of weight.
With both challenges the children needed to use their knowledge of forces (air resistances and upthrust) as well as designing, constructing and testing their models. In addition to this the children had to work in groups
On Wednesday we shared all of our learning with the rest of the school and our parents in assembly…
Fantastic Sport Relief at Gastrells today! So impressed with all the children who ran the Sport Relief mile (5 laps around a very hilly Gastrells site). We had 4 brilliant staff Vs pupils netball matches at lunchtime with the staff being victorious in the end.
Well done and thank you to all the sports leaders for helping to coordinate and run the day.
Great to see all the teachers getting involved…
On Thursday 17th 2016 Gastrells played their last League match against Haresfield Primary School. The final score was 0-0. As always they represented the school well, playing fairly and showing respect to the referee and the other team. I am incredibly proud of how far they have come and am looking to organise some friendlies after Easter. Watch this space.
Have a look at the following link from the SNJ from the mock trial. Some brill u ant pictures.
