Year 5 & 6 were given a wonderful experience on Friday to visit the Nailsworth Comrades club to hear an engaging talk all about WW1. They learnt about life in the trenches, the equipment that a typical solider would need and all the different roles within the army, as well as this they had the fantastic opportunity to try on and hold artefacts from WW1.
Goshawks and Eagles planted their ceramic poppies today as part of our commemorative display to enable the children to think about the service men and women who have lost their lives in battle in the World Wars and other conflicts. These have been inspired by the poppies at the Tower of London created by Paul Cummins.
When they have all been planted they will make a stunning display.
