Peregrines Class Blog

This week we have been focusing on subtraction above 10, we realised that we could use a ruler as a number line to help us with any subtraction up to 30! We have been using this clever trick to try and solve the mystery maths today. We had to try and work out which numbers Mrs Hallet had hidden in the maths envelopes, it was tricky to not miss any solutions out but lots of us managed to solve the mystery!

Shapes, shapes, everywhere!

Peregrines Class Blog

Wow, what fun! This week we have been learning about 3D shapes. We have been making 3D shapes with construction kits, naming 3D shapes, finding the properties of 3D shapes and some of us have even been investigating the many different ways of making Nets of Cubes! The children have loved learning about the Faces, Edges and Vertices of 3D shape, the difference between a cube and cuboid and even the difference between vertices and points. Well done Peregrines! Keep it up!
