We have been having rehearsals for our Christmas Play. It is about the Birth of Baby Jesus. Next week we are going to perform it for the school and for our Mum’s and Dad’s. We expect lots of our families will come and see us. We are getting very excited about it.
On Sunday we took 17 of our Y5/6 netballers to the Richo Arena, Coventry to watch the third match in the international netball series between England and Jamaica. Although England didn’t get the result they wanted, the children (and adults) really enjoyed the match which was topped off by meeting a handful of the players after the game.
We had a great time at the cinema today watching Finding Nemo! There were lots of children from other schools there but we were first to arrive so had the pick of the seats! We decided to sit right in the middle in the ‘posh’ leather seats. Here we are waiting for the film to begin.
Yesterday Eagles prepared, presented, cooked and eventually ate a superb feast of the finest Greek cuisine.

Main- Lamb Koftas with pitta bread and Tzatziki dip
Vegetarian main – Peppers stuffed with rice, chopped olives and feta cheese.
Side dishes- Olives and feta cheese
Well done to all the children for all their hard work throughout the day and a big thank you to all the TA’s who worked tirelessly throughout the day to prepare everything.
This was followed by two great games tonight at Callowell, where our ‘A’ team narrowly lost out 5-4 and our ‘B’ team drew 3-3. Well done to players of the match Bella and Max.
Very proud to see many of Eagles class represented Gastrells magnificently!
